View Full Version : K1 Missing heads/people

So I just got a new computer and recently installed KoTOR on it. It runs like a dream, but sadly some heads and bodies have gone missing. For example, in the PC head selection some heads don't show up or are replaced by other PC heads. Then on Taris there is that female merchant(whom I've forgotten her name) who is gone completely and if I try to talk to her the game crashes. T3 is also gone although he doesn't make the game crash. I haven't played very much so I'm still at the beginning of Taris, so I don't know if there are any other problems like these.
I'm wondering if this is a CD issue because I think it did the same thing on my old computer. And if it is should I consider just buying a copy off stream or is there a possible fix for it?
And now for the obligatory canned response.
Try using the game's configuration utility to post your system specs:
Post your system specs
Sometimes we're just not going to be able to help you if we don't know what kind of hardware you have on your machine. If you don't know what you have on your machine, then follow these steps below:
Bring up the launcher menu for Kotor 1 or 2.
Click on "Configure".
Click the "Scan Hardware" button on the lower center of the window.
Click "Yes" to continue.
Click "Details" to view your system specs.
Click "Save Report" and save the file to your desktop.
Whenever you post your problem, open the file you just saved and copy and paste the contents to your post.
And please specify which version of Windows you are using because the game can't ID anything newer than XP.

Canned response #2:
Did you install the game according to the large-print instructions at the top of the second post in this thread (http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?t=194324)?
I also need to see the beginning of the report; the part that lists your hardware. You don't have to post the keymapping.

Yes, I did install it like that actually.
However I fixed the problem.
It seems I had a tsl appearance.2da in the override. I took it out and everything was fine.
Sorry for bothering.
