Just got the demo on PCGamer this month. I'm running Win2000 but when playing the game, everything (apart from the sound) is very slow, it takes ages to make Guybrush walk anywhere http://www.escapemi.com/forums/frown.gif

Also, (this may be related to it) on the launcher menu, when I select analyse computer, I p*** everyting except CPU speed (which it says is 200Mhz!!!) I have an AMD K6/2 500. I'm also using a Voodoo2 card if that's any help.

Herman i think if you have direct x8 it sometimes effects the game according to some people.

I live just nearby you in Hatfield where there was that train crash

Yep, I'm getting a similar problem. Guybrush moves one frame per second and its frustrating!!!!! I too have a Voodoo2 card so obviously there might be a connection. Someone please tell me the demo is faulty because I REALLY want this game and hope the full version is better suited

Thanks guys for your response! I took a chance and went out and bought the full game. It works fine without any problems http://www.escapemi.com/forums/smile.gif Finished it last night unfortunately though http://www.escapemi.com/forums/frown.gif (mind you, that was after 11 hours a day for 4 days non-stop playing!).

Whereabouts in Hatfield are you Blondebeard?

Cheers Herman,

Could you do me a favour and give me a rough idea of the problems because I hope I'm just like you and the full game will run fine. Like I said I have a P233, 64 MB RAM, Voodoo 2, Direct X8 and the game ran so bloody slowly it was painful. Is your computer similar????????

No problem, I'm running Windows ME now on an AMD K6/2 500, 96Mb RAM, 8Mb Voodoo 2. Occasionally the game slows down (i.e. when there is a lot of animation going on on screen as well as G'brush's movement). Even with the slowdown though, it is well worth it!
