What program they used for monkey 1 backgrounds? I think they aren't hand drawn. Deluxe Paint maybe?

of course their not handrawn, the program they used for everyting is called "scumm" thats why they called the scumm bar "scummbar" and now theyre using a program called "lua" so now its called the"lua bar"

Monkey Island game engine is Script Creation Utility for Maniac Mansion(SCUMM). I mean what program they used for graphics?

im not sure about the monkey 1 graphics but the backgrounds for monkey 2 were all watercolours which were scanned in, thus the highly detailed backgrounds.

It is Lua because they do use Lua p. language. Go look it up.

MI1 graphics were really advanced for there time, the older generation was shocked at the game play it was amazing.

anyway: GrafX2 http://www-msi.ensil.unilim.fr/~maritaud/sunset/ is a very good Program for that kind of work

I don't know Spanish TOO well, but I can make out that this story explains where Guybrush' name comes from (already knew that), AND it mentions the program Dpaint. So I guess they used that.

Geez, I thought everyone knew that - yes they were drawn pixel for pixel in DELUXE PAINT (it must have been hell!)
