Well the news about Michael Land leaving LEC explains what is going on with the music of monkey island. I guess the reason they didn't play any new MI music at E3 is because Land is not doing the music :|. Since I assume MI will continue to have music, it will be interesting to see who Lucasarts brings in for the job

My whole world is crashing in around me. I guess i can get by, by playing the previous MI music over my stereo and turning the volume down on the EMI music ;p
Don't give up on LEC quite yet, they've got other composers, like the guy who did Grim Fandango. Still, I doubt EMI's music will be exactly the same without Land.

Are we sure he has not completed the music for EMI already? Since the voice acting was completed so long ago, the music may have been too, which would mean the same GOOOOOOOD music. http://www.escapemi.com/forums/smile.gif
Voice acting isn't completed, all they've done are the cutscenes, they still have all the in-game lines to go, which is the majority of it. Anyway, I hope the music is finished... though I kind of doubt it.
