Repair vs Gearhead

Can someone tell me what the difference is? What situations do you use Gearhead in?

Repair is a Skill, whereas Gearhead is a Feat (which gives you a +2 to Repair and Computer Use Skill checks) :)
Who told you about the Gearhead feat anyway?
