It wasn't really an injoke, well it was kinda, but in MI1, how you've got the stump and it tells you to insert all the disks, and coz you don't have them you can't play that part of the game, so I cracked up in CMI when he goes through the hole in the crypt and ends up at the stump, kinda the same with the elevator in MI2
