Microsoft has reported on its support site that Mac users who try to access their Hotmail emails through Outlook or Entourage are receiving error messages, and finding entire folders disappearing.
The problem seems to have been caused by a server update conducted by Microsoft yesterday. The intention was to make Hotmail more secure, but during the update, Mac settings for sending and receiving emails were removed.
Microsoft is trying to fix the problem, but until it has been solved, they recommend all Mac users access their email directly through the Hotmail web site.
