How do you rate fire percision. I mean all the craft have the same f. precision.

And those were MY ratings of the a-wing vs x-wing plus I think since the X-Wong has a R2 D2 so that is a advantage.
Plus all craft has its advantages and disadvantaged. Like the a-wing is great for hit and run tatics, the x-wing is good for missions that recquire a longlasting and powerful craft, the y-wing is good for bombing,v-wing is good for recon. mission and quick quick attacks. I think we all now the reason for the snowspeeder

Imladil
06-16-2000, 05:41 AM
By fire precision I mean, how close within the sights do your shots actually land? The X-wing's guns are way out at the wingtips, so their laser bolts land further apart than the little A-wing's. The Naboo starfighter does best in this category, with the guns right there in front of the cockpit.

And yes, each craft does have a specific role to fill...as I discussed at length in the 'X-Wing' thread. http://www.roguesquadron.net/forums/biggrin.gif

Wwll actually you are right in a way and wrong in a way you were right in common sence that it would be closer but you were wrong in the fact that the X-Wings laser(s) go in word if a target is in sight

Imladil
06-17-2000, 06:33 AM
Yeah...but I don't want to get that close to the target! By the time I'm close enough for the guns to use their own targeting sensors (which is what is going on after all,) the target has had enough time to lock onto me and shoot first.

Now...in an A-wing, I never see an AT-ST or turret facing me as I'm attacking. That's because I've A: been fast enough that I have that element of surprise, and B: engage it as soon as I see it. Zap-zap, dead. http://www.roguesquadron.net/forums/biggrin.gif

Whoa whoa whoa!!! First of all the X-Wings presicion is way better then the A-Wings d*** pivoting lasers. And you don't have to get that close to targets for the lasers to hit them in an X-Wing. Another thing, the laser turrets can't hit anything, you can juke around and still hit the things, and you shields will save you when they do hit you. HAHAHAHA, A-Wings suck!!!

The Master, I have nothing positive to say about your last post. A cat, like any living, feeling creature, deserves the same basic dignity and kindness that you yourself would expect to be shown. Hurting or killing them for fun is one of the worst things you could possibly do...to yourself.

I have a great big dog that I let loose on em once. Now that was funny! You should have watch them run. And my reason why I hate cats. Since it has seemed to discouraged you all, the reason is that there is an over population of them at my place. (I don't let them in the house. If they do come in they pay for it.) I only shoot them to try to scare them away for good. If they don't leave soon it might lead to- extermination. http://www.roguesquadron.net/forums/biggrin.gif

I appreciate what you're trying to do, Lieutenant. Unfortunately, for the sake of some poor, innocent kitties, I feel I must make a point before I let it drop.

The Master, I am not perfect. When I was younger and a lot dumber, I used to shoot at birds with a pellet gun. I used to say to myself, 'It's okay...there are too many birds, anyway...some animal will eat anything I kill.' But you know what? It was complete B.S...I was a small person who got a kick out of proving my ability to kill, and my naive lack of regard (while not necessarily cruel in intention) allowed me to gloss over something that otherwise would have been clearly wrong.

Then, one day, I saw an owl sitting in a tree. It was quite a distance, and I didn't think my chances of hitting it were that good anyway...so I took a shot. I hit that poor creature in the eye; it fell from its perch in the tree, breaking several branches on the way down, and landed in a blackberry thicket. As I ran over, I could hear the terrified and agonized owl crashing about in the blackberries (and anyone who's been around blackberries knows that it's the last place you want to be!)

The owl was not dead. And I could not get to it to finish it off. My careless disregard had condemned the innocent creature to a slow and very painful death. To this day, I consider it a great failing of mine not just that I shot the bird, but also that I didn't dive into the thorns to cease that owl's suffering. I was too small to have known better, and then I was too small to take the responsibility for it.

Whatever pain and agony that owl went through, I can say that my own sense of guilt has been painful enough. If I could go back in time and stop myself, I would...and this is why I feel I must speak out against The Master's position; not just for the kitties, but because of the damage he's doing to his own psyche. It's the sort of thing that comes back years later to haunt you.

The Master, you don't need to protect yourself from those cats, and you aren't responsible for controlling their population. Please, I ask you, just leave them alone. If there truly are so many, a phone call to the animal control officer can take care of the problem without causing any undue suffering.

Thank you for listening. One smilie, just to betray my earnest good intentions: http://www.roguesquadron.net/forums/smile.gif

If you hate cats being around your place, make a sprinkler with a sensor system on it, so when cats do come in your yard, they'll get soaked by the sprinkler, unless they like water that should get rid of the problem.

The Master
06-23-2000, 02:14 PM
One sprinkler won't cut it. I own over 100 acres.(I'm not a farmer. http://www.roguesquadron.net/forums/biggrin.gif) And Imladil, I can't stand to watch a bird get hurt. Also about shooting the cats with a B-B gun, it only gives the cats a temporary sting. (When my dog is eating they go down and start eating his food. Thats when the B-B gun comes in handy.) I used to have pitty for the cats for a few years but then they became a problem, I still ignored them. Then the became to much of a problem which leads to me having to do something. As I said if you lived where I do you would understand. I probably am going to call an animal control center if that makes you all happy.

Listen to Shootist and get a dog. I used to have a dog, it was half Collie and half Black Lab. It had a Collie's build and long fur, but the color was black like the lab. It had the Collies temperament, very nice with kids and wouldn't hurt a fly. However, it was still playful and happy like a lab. It was perfect. Besides, it'll keep the cats away without hurting them. Sure it'll chase em and snarl at them, but's not likely to catch them. I've always prefered dogs over cats but both are nice.

If the fuzz-whatsit is a three-dimensional object, then its own shadow would be its two-dimensional equivalent...its fourth-dimensional equivalent would be its physicality over the course of its existance, and its third dimensional equivalent would be either a clone or a replication, depending. Since only God can exist in one dimension, its one-dimensional equivalent either doesn't exist or is God Himself (depending on your own particular worldview.)

If a fuzz-whatsit is an idea, then all bets are off. http://www.roguesquadron.net/forums/biggrin.gif
