Z-Camera for Q3

A new version of the Z-Camera (http://www.telefragged.com/zungbang/zcam/index.shtml) mod for Quake3 Arena has been released. The Z-Camera provides two modes for advanced observation/spectating of Quake3 games. (Thanks Blue (http://www.bluesnews.com) .)

Good to see how the user-community is leveraging Q3 technology to improve the games. Hopefully this will inspire someone to create an advanced spectator camera for Jedi Outcast.

Avi “Zung!” Rozen, creator of Z-Camera has even included the source code (http://www.telefragged.com/zungbang/zcam/download.shtml), so we have a head start.

The spectator can select between two camera modes:

FLIC mode: the camera films the most interesting players and areas at any given moment.

SWING mode: the camera swings around a specific player, selected by the spectator, while tracking the most interesting opponent.

If u take this to the super futuristic unlikely to happen stage... we could en up making movies in jk2? it could happen.. intense lightsaber battles and some folks could do a voice over and try to get characters and things to move.. stuff like that. it could be great.
