Nice review. ;)

I'll probably pick it up once I am sure the single player game is worth the purchase. I don't see myself playing too much multiplayer from that game.

I'm sure its a great game and all but I just can't play a war game like that with no blood or gore, it just takes away from the realism.

IIRC there is a gore patch you can download...

I'll be picking up the game this weekend!!!

I bought the game the day it came out. Great game, i got the gore/blood patch to add the extra bit of realism.

Anyone played it online multiplay? That Omaha map multiplayer could be so much better. It sucks when 1/4 of the allies snipe. If you are a German, you can man those guns for about 3 seconds before you get shot. IT takes a lot of fun away from the game. Also breaching the shingle is far too easy IMO. In Saving Private Ryan it was a bloody, limb flying effort to get off the beach. The multiplayer level just failed to capture that feeling.

The single player Omaha map on the other hand was the greatest gaming moment of my life. You must play this game just for this level!!!! It is not easy to get off that beach even on easy mode. It's great, all the allied soldiers are yelling stuff out like 'WHAT THE HELL ARE WE DOING HERE' and 'GET OFF THE BEACH'. Theres the odd soldier who's gone temporarlily insane and is bobbing back and forth on the ground. Amazing atmosphere and immersion, it is captured flawlessley.

The single player is great fun, unfortunately the multiplayer needs a lot of work. And if 2015 arent gonna fix it up, i sure hope some modders make a more playable/balanced multiplayer experience.

I haven't had any problems with multiplayer so far. It's been great fun. Gameplay rewards real teamplayers. Actual tension as you run into combat with your buddies. A great, immersive experience.
