This is far and beyond a rival to CS. It is soooooo much better than counter strike. And it has a much better community as well, not so many jerks and cheaters. Best HL mod ever. Comes out at 6 pm EST.

Anyway, I think DoD blows CS out of the water. It looks like they've added some actual learning curve into the game, with recoil and such. I think the new HUD is goofy, but I can live with it. 2 and a half hours away. :D

And I'm kind of mad. I waited for 45 minutes at FilePlanet to download it, and had 25% done when my cable decided to die. So I had to wait another hour, and I'm about to start downloading again. I could already be killing some Allied scum!

Right, i just played 4 hours of beta 2.0! It totally rocks!! All the new maps are excellent, some are frigging huge. I love Overlord and Dog1, anything associated with the D-Day landings are awesome.

The recoil has been significatly improved. It is like firing a real gun now. You can sprint for about 5 seconds then your energy runs out.
