View Full Version : Jedi Power Battles for Gameboy Advance - anyone playing it?

OK ... I'm so lame ... I'm generally a PC FPS person, and am waiting for JKII, but I got a GBA and Jedi Power battles, now ...

I am stuck on the first level in Jedi Power Battles ... I kill the battle
droids, do the conveyer, do the catwalk, make the first jumping puzzle, then
come to the one where the piston-thing goes up and down after you move. I
can get to that first piston, but nowhere from there ... I'm sure it is
something stupid - can anyone help me out?

There are several more psitons to your right that you have to jump to.

That seems to be the problem - I jump to the first piston, but no matter what, when or how I jump ... I die. There is a platform between the pistons - how do I get there? I assume once I figure that out I'll be good to go ...

It seems that no matter what system this game is ported to there is always trouble with the jumps... I've played the Jedi Power Battles on PSX and DreamCast at two of my friends house, and it seems that is the most difficult thing to do in this game. I beat the game, but not before being frustrated to the point of going to the dark side.

I tried my chain lightning ... but then I remembered I was ObiWan, not Kyle ;)

my brother has that game
those jumps are really annoying
you must keep jumping to the right as Gabrobot says

I don't know whether it is good or bad ... but I've gotten much more feedback here than on any 'GBA-specific' forums ...

... so I'll just keep jumping, then ...

I have the game too.
but uh, I can't beat that part either.
What is that makes you stop your jump in mid-air and fall to your doom? It is like an invisible forcefield.

I just don't know ... I have dumped at least 40 lives down that particular tube ... I think it may have to do with your front to back positioning - but haven't found out yet. I found a review that echoes my feelings - you are a Jedi Master who can wipe out a swarm of droids, only to fall to your death off a platform or fail to make a 3 foot jump ...

Hey TXA1265, I beat it today!
You know those balconies between the pistons? It seems you have land on the very end (closest to camera view). There are 3 pistons I think. The boss is easy because you have unlimited lives because you respawn and there is a free live on the way. I beat the second level too. Alot easier jumping puzzles (but still frustrating:mad: ). Oddly enough the second level boss is an Uber-Gungan three times the size of you.
(If you want to know I was Mace Windu:) )

I did it as well!!!

I was coming here to tell how to get by ... good for you!

Once I realized you had to move forward it became trivial ...

I haven't gone forward from there ... work and all, you know ...
