Being a CS player who runs a CS server ( if anyone wants to play :), I know that popularity brings good players, but for every good player there are a few cheaters that can't win by their skill alone and have to cheat to win.

As soon as something gets REALLY popular, the lamers get to it and it gets ruined for the original users. It happened to Napster, it happened to CS, and I'm hoping they'll do stuff to stop it from happening to JKII.

Does anyone know if JKII is going to have some anti-cheating measures built-in? Or will Raven/LucasArts support JKII as well as/better than Valve has supported HL (I don't know anything about Raven's track record as far as ongoing support goes)?

That FAQ answer helps, but is raises another question...I assume they'll allow banning as well as kicking?

opps, to answer your question, if JK2 follows Raven's last Q3 game Elite Force, then banning and kicking will be very easy for the admin.
