Okay, I've deactivated the radiation field in the red room... and I'm trying to jump onto those cars... but I cant get on.

How do I get onto the transport cars in the red room?

There are black 'bracket' looking things on both sides of the track. You should beable to climb those and, at an opportune time, hop on to a ship. :)
