Well, I destroyrd the shields, and killed Fyyar. The mission indicator does not say anything new, just checked off that I destroyed the shields. I am supposed to make it back to the escape pods, but I can;t find them. I have run through every newly opened door, and also backtracked back as far as the game will allow. Basically to the room with a small hatch on the floor, but that wont open.

If anyone knows where to go from the shield generator room, lemme know please.

You went back too far. There are a couple doors that are open in the level that were not before. It's close to the beginning, but not in that room.

i just killed galak fyarr and destroyed the shields, but now i've got the same problem. i simply do not find the escape pods. can you please help me?
