I have the problem that my screen flickers (not that hard, but you can see it and it will give me headache) like the refresh rate is low. Is there a possibility to change it?

Video Cad: Nvidia Geforce 2 Pro
Driver: 23.11
OS:Win 98 Second Edition
DirectxDiag has been put to 85hz but this didn't change the problem

If your monitor supports a higher refresh rate than 85hz, go to Control Panel.......then Display.....Settings.....Advanced and click on the Monitor tab and check for a something higher than 85.

This may damage your monitor over time so I'd check first to see if your card and monitor can handle it. Most recent monitors are ept enough to handle up to 100 or even 120.
