Ok, I know of regular stormtroopers, artic stormtroopers, and swamp stormtroopers. I also remember a long time ago reading about "anti-gravity" stormtroopers. They wore these huge suits and had magnets on the soles of their boots to walk on the skins of space ships. Anyone know of any others? Are Imperial Guards a type of stormtrooper?

Scout Troopers and some sort of EU Aqua Trooper.
The scout troopers have always been my favorite. Why aren't they in JK2. I think they should of had a few levels on the moons of Endor, so that they could of had scout troopers and speeder bikes. Or pilot speeder bikes.

You are right about the Space Troopers:trooper: ...they appeared in the first Thrawn trilogy of books. And I'd imagine the Imperial Guards :guard: are technically troopers because I think they too are clones. (on either I stand to be corrected) The Clone troopers in Attack of the Clones are of course their Grand-daddies :clone: Although they remind me of Cylons from Battlestar Galactica!
Hopefully Lucasarts/Raven will take full advantage of the new movie and look into releasing appropriate skins?

Can't remember exactly, but in the comic series "Crimson... ehrrr... Empire", i think? there was a deep introduction on how Imperial Guards were trained, and there was nothing about clones. If my memory serves me well, they were supadupastormies :D taken apart to further training.
Of course, EU can have some discrepancies, but...
Good comic, BTW

The Imperial Royal Guard are my favourite. They look so awesome and something about the red and their pikes. Something about them just gives me the impression they are the deadliest of the imperial military - why else would the emperor use them if they are as dumb as regular storm troopers? It is a shame they didn't get a chance to fight on screen. But maybe in episode 2 or 3? (I don't have a clue about those movies from my personal blackout of information about them so for all I know they could be in those movies?)
Anyway... IRG's rock!
ps: if they are emperors royal guard instead of imperial - bite me - im close enough.

Don't forget the troopers that get put into intel. They were in many of the books, they have the black jumpsuit, no armor. Still, they went though the training, so I think it counts.

Tell me about Stormtrooper training. Is it in a RPG book out there? Or perhaps a web page? I would be interested in reading about that.

If you bring stuff in from the games and the visual dictionary, you also have
Storm commandos
Seatroopers
Airtroopers
Radtroopers
Magmatroopers
and what they called "tunneling underminers" presumably stormtroopers for below the earth
and there was an EU action figure called a spacetrooper that was not the big bulky suit seen in the WEG books and the Thrawn trilogy

LOL, ummm, not a fan of Star Wars? no I just strictly stick to the movies and some collectibles, I've read some books but the ones are like Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter
The Bounty Wars Trilogy
Heir to the Empire
Cloak of Deception
The one with Kyle Katarn and the Valley of the Jedi (LOL can't seem to think of the name now)
I own the original release of the VHS tapes that were made back in 1977, I also own the SW Trilogy: Special Edition, JK2, a decent collection of lead and metal figures and a few original characters still in the boxes (ones that were very limited in detail). I'd say i'm a star wars fan ;)
Oh, and I always knew the "Arctictroopers" as the Snowtroopers.
and I don't have the "RPG board game" with the 'zero gtroopers' in it, IMO board games are a bore. I hate them, they can burn in hell
