TF (OOM-9) Campaign: Boss Ganne

hey guys n gals (i hope some gals play this game)...

had a question about the mission where you
have to capture boss ganne and then go to
that other base in the southern part of
the map...

I can usually get ganne, and begin moving
thru the gates of the southern settlement,
but having a time getting enough units
to stay around and protect boss ganne..
Darth Maul does a pretty good job taking down
the gungan grenadiers... but it's not quite
enough...

playing on moderated difficulty... any hints?

I'm doing this from memory.

I garrisoned the Gungun inside a Mech, and kept him to the rear of my formation and only bring that Mech up to open the gates. Use the Destroyer Droids to take out the troops and Maul to take out their Heavy artillery.

i'll have to try harder to keep the DD's alive
then :P
