View Full Version : AT-PT (for mots)

Pedro helped me get the scale right (compared to a human). I'm going to make 2 versions, one w/open hatch so you can hop inside, and one without opened hatch.

Cool, you just have to cog it so you can control it! ;)

well...maybe not 'control' it 'cause i don't know how to make frames...however...I CAN somehow get it to fire straight ahead...perhaps one button for laser cannons, and 1 button for concussion grenade launcher? mwahahahah! I still need to mat it. :D

Sound awesome... I wish you could control it though... :(

I hope you got the legs jointed right; I've seen AT-PTs in MotS before and they looked like Gonkzilla.

If you want, I can .key it for ya and make a pup file. That'd let it move (but I don't know how to cog it to be controllable).

k i hope the legs are ok...here's a side view...

http://www.massassi.net/ec/images/452.jpg I decided that massassi needs a better at-pt than that one they got there now.

btw, the legs are on the outside of the joint thingy. i think...

Looks good.

On the miniature I have (which I don't actually have handy, naturally  ), I seem to recall that the legs are bulkier than that; the central portion looks like it's hanging from between them.

I'll post a pic when possible.

When will this be done rogue?

09-03-2001, 05:47 PM
NOW. it's complete. I had to make 3 seperate 3dos from it tho, 2 legs, and the body. that way u can put it as low/high as u want, i tried to keep it 1 3do, but it had too many surfaces that way.

Very cool indeed! :)

I'll still post photos of that miniature when I get a chance (it's in another city now). When I painted it I added a bunch of details like running-lights, and those ubiquitous black/yellow "caution" stripes along the joints and feet.

i must admit, i'm surprised w/the way it turned out. was freaky at first, when i was just doing everything from out of the book, then once i had a whole leg done and copied them put them side by side, and went to 3d preview, i was like 'DANG', i didn't expect it to turn out that good. then i went onto the body, that was probably the hardest part, i ended up scrapping the first body, and redoing it. it looks perfect now. :D

don't look now, but it's up at www.massassi.net (http://www.massassi.net) the final version.
