do you think demos will become too big for downloads? would they stop making them, or would you have to order a cd?

Well I used to think that 100+ meg demos were "too big to download" but that doesn't appear to have stopped them.
Heck, people are willing to download divx files that are over a gig, so probably never... long as people want the stuff bad enough.
But after picking up the new pcgamer, I think I understand the joke. ; )

With the high bandwidths availble, they will only get bigger.

I've only got a 56k modem, and I was able to download the entire monkey 4 demo!(the one that's 100+ MB) :) :) :)
However I haven't been able to download a file that size since I put my modem in my faster machine, the one that has windows ME. :(
I was able to download the force commander demo though! The game itself sucks, but the music rocks! :D

I don't think they will stop making game demos no matter how big they get.

You're right, they probably won't stop making demos, because even thought they will keep getting bigger, the slowest internet conection will probably become DSL in 5 years or something, so it won't matter how big it is.

I wish they'd hurry up and get DSL way out here!

You think YOU have problems, where I live even a DSL would be as fast as a 56k modem on a good day!!
