There are no force powers except push that can hurt them if you are light also, so what method in a duel would you use to beat them? (duel with no guns that is)

Mind trick and come up behind with saber...
Saber throw might work.. but I have no idea if it does.

Wait a sec....I thought that protect will protect them from lightsaber (physical) damage. Am I wrong?
the zone posts this about protect:
Force Powers (Light Side)
Protect
Duration Variable
Effect Protects against physical attacks
Level 1 50% damage blocked
Level 2 75% damage blocked
Level 3 87.5% damage blocked
So if 87.5 of the damage is blocked, all the person has to do is use heal and protect and they are virtually invulnerable right?

Well, they would be, apart from that using protect rapdily eats up your force mana, as does heal. Soon as it runs out they're very vunerable. Or, you could use force powers to hurt them (lightning or grip or even push), or drain to suck away their mana.
At the most Force Protect lasts for 30seconds. At the most.
Just keep your distacnce and try either useing Rocket Launcers or if it's saber only, try using force speed and//or mind trick to confuse him and hit him regardless. It will still cause damage.

Ooook, would someone be so nice as to enlighten this filthy, unknowing, ignorant n00b (...me) what "The Zone" is meant to be?
I figured a thing or two, but in the end... *shrugs*
