View Full Version : Sound editing question

Hey, I'm trying to make a custom taunt for the skin I'm finishing up. But whenever I go in game to test it, it doesn't work. It's in .mp3 format but doesn't have 44,100khz as all the default sounds have. I can't get my sound recorder to convert it to that. Does anyone know if there is a .wav - .mp3 converter that converts it to 44,100khz mp3s?

The free version Music Match converts pretty well. The only problem I have with it is that it doesn't do mass files with sub-directories. That's just a convenience factor. '-) But it should suit your needs. I'm working on a mass sound mod, and so far, the game plays my converted files.

But don't count on Music Match to convert all MP3s back to WAVs. For some reason, it crashes whent it tries to read or convert certain types of MP3s...

Anyway, it should work for your purposes. Go to a download site (www.download.com), type in Music Match in the search box, downlaod it, and you're all set.

Actually, I did the direct link for you:

Click Here for MusicMact Jukebox. (http://download.com.com/3000-2167-7889684.html?tag=lst-0-1)

It's nearly 10 megs though. Ouch.. At leats does much more than just MP3 conversions. ;-)
