I'm reminded of that age-old addage. Let's see.. It goes something like:

If you don't like it, do it yourself!

I'm sure you're more than capable of removing the brow rings. And strippers and Europeans aren't the only ones with 'em.

To me just looks like recolor, a great recolor, but a recolor none the less...

04-20-2002, 01:02 AM

It's got a fair amount of recolored material on it. But there also a fair amount of handrawns stuff (Torso mainly)
Of course this is the first skin I've made for JO, it was done more as a test than anything else.

I'll try something a little more complicated next time. :p

Anyways, that's the updated pic. Only thing that really changed was the boots.

Thanks again for hosting the file Wes.

Okay. I've updated the pics page, Vandori. I had to select one pose for the main section, but it's all there when you click on it.

And the pleasure for hosting this skin is all mine. Really. ;-)

very well done Vandori. excellent skin. I feel you should have done the pants yourself as well, rather than using an existing leg skin, but other than that, its crisp, clean, and looks cool ;)

Maybe I did something wrong, but I can't get the skin to work. I unziped the skin and put it in my base folder and all, but it still doesn't work.

You should be able to drop the .pk3 into your gamedata/base folder and have it go. At least that's how I set it up. (works on my end)

If you have any other SP skins for Kyle in, they may be interfering with it. Can't really make a definite call without more information.

04-20-2002, 06:24 AM
ah yah..... you left kyles models out.... thats what was keeping it from working with me.... just pull the model.glm and model_default.skin outa assest0.pk3 then add them to vandoris pk3 .... make sure you do the whole pathname thing so its models\players\kyle

not for sure but .... just know thats how i got it working

04-20-2002, 06:30 AM
No... it should work without the models included. Every time I tested it worked on my system and all the pk3 has in it is the textures...

I had the same problem as above. pk3 by itself was still defaulting to kyles reg skin (ick)

I downloaded it to see how it looked in game, and I had the same problem.

What I did to correct it was merely rename it to kylespmod.pk3

I've noticed sometimes if it's named earler in Alpha order than assets0.pk3, it won't work.

And since it's named alternate....

You get the idea.

Makes sense.

That looks like it.
Thanks Blade.
