win2k or Linux for ded server?

Ok I have a box I can use as a server with its own dedicated cable line. The boxs specs are:

Pentium 3 - 1Ghz x 2
256 MB RAM
2 x 9GB SCSI Hard Drives
1 x 18 GB SCSI Hard Drive

Currently it is running a tribes 2 dedicated server but I am thinking of using it for JediKNight2 instead. Which OS would be the better choice for the above PC running a dedicated Jedi Knight 2 server?

For performance Linux is always the better choice over Windows (proven fact). However if you've never worked with Linux and have no idea how to set it up properly I'd say go with Windows 2000.
