Shield/Weapon Respawn time

I need to know one of two things. How can I turn off shield spawn or how can I increase the time they spawn?

I'm not sure how to disable shield spawn....yet. To change weapon respawn times, which I would believe affects all item respawns, use:

g_weaponrespawn "x"

If you set it to 0, it's the equivalent of weapons stay.
