Compiling problems

This problem has probably been asked before, but since the search function is disabled, I must ask again...

When I try running the bsp:er in Jkradiant it simply doesn't work, but it puts a snapshot folder in the /base/maps folder.
I've tried running the program in dos, but it does'nt seem to work either... I've installed the tools correctly in the /gamedata folder.
What could be wrong??

Yes, I've read it.

I tried to search for the file, but i can't find it. I don't think the fle is created because it doesn't et that far in the process... it seems like the path to sof2map may be incorrect, but I dunno how to change it... Please help!!
