View Full Version : Looking for a really GOOD set of instructions

I'd LOVE to get into skinning.

I know essentially what is required, but what I need is a really GOOD set of instructions on how to go about doing it all.

The stuff I've found so far assumes the reader already knows a lot about how Q3 skins work. Get ready for a shock, I never played Quack...QUAKE! I mean Quake!

So, I need a graphics editor. Got that, JASC PSP.

Uh, what else do I need? What files do I create/use? How do get the models to skin onto? How do I test 'em?

I hear a lot of talk about "the tools aren't out yet"...uh, what tools? Do I need something else?

Go gentle on me, I'm a plebe and a newbie, just looking for some help with getting into Skinning.

Thanks in advance.

All you ned is on this site:

The tools are there, but they're not essential. They just let you preview your skins. What you reeeally should download, is the superb skinning tutorial by Michael Chang Gummelt from Raven.

Go get it!
