ok I've just completed my first test map for MP, and it looks ok, loads fine, everything seems to work great, until I spawn a bot, then the bot just sits there doing level 3 jumps all over the place with no rhyme or reason.

how do you add the routes for the bots so they can play the map like they do in the default maps?

any help would be appreciated on this.

I know I read somewhere that a program looks at the map file and calculates the possible paths for bots to follow but I cant find where I read it. I thought I read it with the SDK but I searched through every document and cant find it.

I am having the same problem. I've put in a few stormtroopers to test some things and they just stand there. They will acknowledge you and shoot at you but they just stand there. Maybe there is a certain compile you have to run??

Try inserting some of those waypoints, or nav points in the entity list. Whatever they are called. Might fix the problem.

You have to use the bot entities. I suggest you go to Q3world Discussion Forums and do a search.

I've never gotten to the point of gettin bot support up and running.

At the bottom of the skinning tutorial, there is an e-mail address for one of the developers. Try e-mailing him and ask him. I e-mailed him a question lastnight and already got a reply.

well I tried finding any and all tutorials for adding bot support into a map for the Q3 engine.

the only thing I found was a program called bspc that's supposed to compile Q3 maps with bot support, but that won't work with JKII map files.

I've sent an email to Raven to try and get more accurate info, but if anyone happens to figure it out before I hear back from them, please post the info so others can use it as well

I'd really appreciate any info on the subject.
