I was having an intense conversation about movies in general with a group of at least ten people and geeska! me and this one other guy was the only people who have ever seen Star Wars (the original Trilogy, not episode one)!!! can yuh beleive that? I was appauled. Star Wars is classic.

I dont know, I guess what im trying to say is has this ever happened to anyone else before?

BTW..i am planning to force them all to watch Star Wars if they like it or not.
Muhahahahah (cue thunder and lighting)...

Actually when I first met my girlfriend 3 years ago, she had not seen Star Wars either! I could not believe that someone had never seen Star Wars! After nagging at her to watch 'em for a few weeks, she finally agreed!

(well she didn't really had a choice, being a dedicated fan, she had seen all my stuff and decided that if she was going to be with me for a while then she might as well check out what I like!)

So I watched it with her and it was like watching it again for the first time!

She wondered who Luke's father was! She cried when Yoda died! She was surprised when Vader was revealed as Luke's dad (her picks? Obi-Wan, Yoda, or Han Solo... Weird)! She liked the Ewoks! She was on the edge of her seat the whole time!

It was amazing... Truly one of the best Star Wars experiences in my life!

So we have been together for 3 years now and she is use to Star Wars and likes it even. We saw Episode I together and all... It was great.

We live together and she let me have my own SW room where I can put all my junk in http://www.jediknight.net/mboard/smile.gif

A Star Wars room? Sweet! I wish I had a certain place where I could put all of my collectibles and stuff. I just sort of cram it all into shelves and hang everything all over the place. My vice princible Mrs Larson says that her 19 year old daughter is a huge Star Wars fan and that she would love to introduce her to me sometime. (If you're wondering, I'm pretty well known araound my school, and I'm making myself better known! http://www.jediknight.net/mboard/wink.gif.)

Those are some cool dioramas. You ever thought about using an old fish tank and micro machines to recreate the battle of hoth? "The fish tank is so you can use fake snow and also to keep things from falling"
The way I dealt with my space problems was to make as many twelve foot shelves as my wall could hold. I'll try and find some pics of my collection later. P.S. You open your figures? I thought that was illegal!?! http://www.jediknight.net/mboard/biggrin.gif

What good is it if I can't play with it? (I'm 23 and I play with my toys. ) What should scare you further is that I'm one of several people working on how memory forms chemically.

The thing that scares me the most is the realization that someday i'll be 23 and playing with toys too. http://www.jediknight.net/mboard/biggrin.gif

my uncle is around 34 and he collects toys, and not just star wars. Teletubbies! seriously, he likes that show, or so i've heard.

the only toys i play with since i don't open up the action figures are the Micro Machines, i open those up and make fighting diaromas, i have a TIE Fighter pilot vs. Hoth soldier fight set up, and darth vader with his lightsaber in the background. I really need to get one of those TIE Fighters that the figures can fit in. Can never find one now that i have money though.

Star Wars is one thing but if I walked into a grown mans house and it was plastered with teletubby stuff I would freakout.

Speaking of Star Wars, I was over at a local rare/used/out-of-print bookseller, this cool place, Firehouse Books, anyway, I came upon some really cheaply priced Star Wars novels. I picked up the Jedi Academy Trilogy (yes, I still hadn't read it), along with some of those old "Choose your own adventure" spinoffs I remember as a kid (anybody ever see "Wizards Warriors & You"? Or "Crimson Crystal: Endless Quest" by the TSR guys?).

Good stuff..

I have all the TPM action figures open and sealed. I have 'em in different action scenes. Same as with my micro machines... I just love my SW room! It's awesome... I need to put shelves in there though 'cause half my stuff is in boxes... I'll scan some pix soon and will post them on here so you can all take a peek http://www.jediknight.net/mboard/wink.gif

I don't play with toys, unless my computer is a toy, or my radio, . . . I just read books A LOT!!!!!!!! You'd better believe it, some kids think it's weird to read as much as I do. I also practice the trumpet when i have free time and i'm not riding/polishing my wonderful bike or doing chores (which isn't very often).

I've actually met someone (a fiction writing teacher, no less) who hadn't seen Star Wars.

I recommended waiting until eps 2 and 3 are out and watching them in sequence. This would allow her to provide an objective view (untainted by expectations of the classic trilogy) of whether or not the six-part series worked. http://www.jediknight.net/mboard/cool.gif

There's a girl at my school who thinks Star Wars is stupid, of course she doesn't realize Staw Wars is one of the biggest things that's ever hit the movies. As far as I know, my brother, two of the kids in my class, and myself, are the only ones in my school who likes Star Wars.

You know, Star Wars ruined my social life in school, I once mentioned my favorite movies (Star Wars movies ofcourse) and it seemed that over there Star Wars are associated with being ahem... not so hetero... and ever since then I never had any friends in school http://www.jediknight.net/mboard/frown.gif. And you are immediatly degraded to idiot(or mentally challenged) if you have a Dreamcast. So now I am a gay idiot http://www.jediknight.net/mboard/confused.gif????(yes, every word is true http://www.jediknight.net/mboard/frown.gif)

Hey I always mentioned I like Star Wars (I still do at work now)... If people don't like it it's their business and I never had any heat about it.

Sure I get teased sometimes but hey it's all in good fun... Who cares?!

In high school I used to hang out with people who liked Star Wars (we used to play the Role playing game on breaks and lunches, no wonder I never had a date lol).

Hey I have a gf now so I'm happy http://www.jediknight.net/mboard/smile.gif

An ex-g/f of mine said I had either to choose between displaying my toy collection in my own apartment (where I had no roommate)or her? Guess how long it took me to say good bye to her?

BTW, I've updated my Star Wars collection. Got a whole new Forrest Battle on Endor Section. http://www.angelfire.com/geek/pbarny go to the star wars section under dioramas. Back yards are cool.

That isn't funny, I think we all saw through that, unless we are COMPLETE idiots, which I am not; I am just an idiot. Anyways, sometimes when kids make fun of me, I literally go crazy. You know how in AOE2 when the Vikings' berserks get that berserkergang thing? Well, it's sorta like that. Today, a kid was making fun of me, so I grabbed his arem, spun him around so his back was to me, and gave a nice, really hard hammerblow into his back. I hurt him pretty bad. Don't mess with me boyeee! http://www.jediknight.net/mboard/mad.gif

But anyway, I'm sick at home now, phew, an escape from all the laughter. (and for some reason, you are also a moron if you have sideburns http://www.jediknight.net/mboard/confused.gif ) Perhaps I should change from school.

Young Padawan Jawamaster, you really must learn to control your anger... Here's a few tips for getting rid of jerks who don't like Star Wars:

- Steal the teacher's pen and put it in his desk/bag. Be the one who finds it there if possible

- Get the largest pair of women's underwear you can find and put it in his bag. Make sure that everyone sees him with them.

- Replace his milk carton when he's not looking with sour milk.

- Put another lock on his locker. Then set it on fire.

Ok ok maybe don't do these things, but you at least if you're gonna beat him up, make sure no one is watching http://www.jediknight.net/mboard/smile.gif

Violence may not be the answer, but it does solve the problem one way or the other (maybe not with the results inteneded). but it does solve problems.

Yeah like whenever the teacher would ask me something in class I didn't know I would punch her/him out. It works! I didn't have to answer the question. I did though spend an awful lot of time in the principal's office...

I remember my grandpa once told me a story that went like this.
He was in school and the kid behind him kept on poking him with a sharp pencil in the rear. Well, my grandpa raised his hand to tell on the kid, but the teacher said, "Harry! Put your arm down and get to work!". So, my grandpa silently and calmly got up, turned around, and clobbered the kid. The teacher said, "why did you do that?" and my grandpa said,"I tried to tell you, but you wouldn't listen, so I took care of it myself."
