I don't know whether this is just me or not, but recently, there appear to have been far fewer complaints about Sabre throwing in MP. Good sign?

It's because players are sticking to DFA and Force Drain now...

hehe

I just want to say that the community was a lot more mature and kinder to newcomers and members before the game came out.

But I'm not surprised that there's less whining because the people that hate the game have given up on it and moved on. Pretty logical. But still, taking a scan down the first page is still a pretty ridiculous read.

You hit the nail on the head, Canoli - before the game came out, this was a place where everybody knew your name, and they were always glad you came. But the moment we've all been waiting for finally arrived, and as the floodgates opened, the forums became swamped with threads from people with only two previous posts, complaining, whining, trolling, spamming, repeating over and over - the forum had the traffic and the quantity, but the quality of discussion, as well as the maturity level, dropped like a bisected Sith apprentice down a bottomless pit.

But you're right - I've noticed the steady, if nearly imperceptible, rise in the quality of the posts as of late.

A lot of it has to do with the folks like me who scan and don't post.
Call us the Silent Majority :)

I've been through this so many times with so many games I've loved. I came to these boards only a few days before the game came out but yes, there is a difference.

I would like to praise the mods for their restraint. I know it hasn't been easy for you guys. :D

Just be prepared for the second wave once the patch hits. Then it all starts back up again.

I'd have to agree that every game goes through this phase upon release (even half-life IIRC, that was buggy on release). I'd also agree that the number of complaints is probably going to go back up again after they have modified the game in the upcoming patch. Still, in general, I'd say that over time we are going to be seeing fewer complaints on this board, and probably having more fun as people get used to the game.
