View Full Version : Odd brushes appear in Map after complie

I have a map roughly 1024 by 1024 and about 520 units high. I have a basic waterfall on the back wall with other brushes i have made into rocks . When looking at the map in the editor , everything looks great . But after compiling with fastvis or fullvis and loading in the game i have a brush that looks like one of the rocks i had made that stretches out the back of the map as far as you can see and goes about half way into the map and almost to the ceiling. It has the rock texture im using applied to it . I ve made a backup of the map and deleted all of the rocks that i have created and the waterfall brushes and the odd thingy is still there.

Has anyone seen this before ? Do u need more info about maybe the file size of the map , how far it stretches beyond point 0 ? Ive sucessfully copied the majority of the brushes that i didnt want to recreate into another map file but i would like to find out what causes this incase i run into it again or if i want to salvage the other map. Thanks for any help that anyone can provide !:jawa

Hide everything then drag a brush approximately where the rouge brush is then use: Select/touching

That should grab it. Then delete it.
