Custom textures?

How do I go about getting custom textures working ingame? They show up as black with a white line, but look fine in the editor..
Sorry if this has been asked before, search doesn't seem to be working at all...

I've looked at a LOT of tutorials, tried what they said, and none of it seems to help...
