View Full Version : MP Jedi Master (Merc vs. Jedi Sagway too)

I am suprised there arent more Jedi Master servers out there. I was browsing alternative servers to play on when low and behold, I stumbled accross a JM server....

I had an absolute blast!!! That was a kool game mode.

One of the highlights of that game (Nar Shadda level) was when I was hunting down the Jedi. I was sniping him from about 200 yards away and 5 stories up with the alt repeater fire when he finally got wise to my actions. So here comes this Jedi ready to hand me my arse, my ammo is practicly depleted, and I really dont have any other weapons. So I high tail it out of my little cubby hole, and of course he closes the gap with three force jumps. Not wanting to give up the ghost that easily, I high tailed it for the closest thing I could see, which happened to be the automated turret. Not exactly what I had in mind. But it worked. I made it work. But only because I remembered what I still had in my inventory. Now by this time the Jedi was more than willing to take advantage of my tactical error and close the final gap. Too bad all he got was a forcefield in the face :fett: !!! So I buy myself a few precious seconds to execute phase two. I activate the turret in the corner (this happened in the horseshoe by the control building with the mega shields and the forcefield icon) and started to haul a$$ back to the control building, the only cover available. Push/Pull is a mofo when you are running Nar Shadda without any force defence. Of course Mr. Jedi is more interested in chasing the rabbit that disabling the turret, so he gets vested up from behind something fierce. All this is in addition to the repeater damage I dealt him previously. So Im hauling arse back to the control building with a pi$$ed off Jedi on my tail, and I JUST clear the corner and select my det packs. They were the only weapon I had left at this point besides my POS Bryar Pistol, and my stun Baton. So the Jedi clears the corner and...









Force Push. AAAAaaaahhhhhh...... *splat*

I never got a chance to lay that det pack down much less detonate it. WHAT? Did you think I was gonna say the Bounty Hunter won? I wish. But that's OK. Dude messaged me and told me I had him down to 3 Hit Points, NO Shields. So I may not have won the battle but I did earn some respect. It was a well laid plan, but Force Powers are a MUTHAPHUCKA.


Now on to the Merc vs. Jedi part of the thread. I learned this much. In Jedi Master, Mercs get no saber but can pick up all items in the game. In addition, they get an UNLIMITED level one Force Jump. Or at least I never ran out of juice. Maybe it does use force, I just never noticed. All and all, if you still go toe to toe with the Jedi by your lonesome, you will more than likely get your arse handed to you. But that ONE little jump adjustment TOTALY improves your over all survival time. I think this is a step in the right direction for a proper Merc vs. Jedi mod. I still dont think they should have full level one jump, but it does show that if given a few things to make them more like Bounty Hunters, that Stormtroopers, you can have some VERY tasty Bounty Hunter/Jedi battles. I still like the idea of a Bounty Hunter side rolling and shooting simultaniously...

Anyway, I could go on and on with that subject. So all I wanna say in closing is I hope to see more Jedi Master servers running. IMHO it is a VERY entertaining game...

i always liked the mod, but i could always unload all of my ammo with out a hit. that was before the evil

I can't find a sever with that.

I wish I could man. It's a hit or miss thing finding a Jedi Master server. Last night was first time I EVER saw a server running JM. Then I took a break for 30 min, came back, and gone was it...
