View Full Version : Volumetric shadows shadow EVERYTHING in new patch

If i have volumetric shadowing on in the new patch, it somehow decides to cast a shadow over your whole view thus drasticly reducing my framerates. It easy to see by doing the following. Find a room with no one in it (or kill everyone :) and switch to first person. This takes all the volumetric shadow casting models out of the picture. Turn on volumetric shadowing. Go back to the game and switch to 3rd person. Now the whole room gets a few shades darker but you're player model still doesn't cast a shadow. It's almost like the shadow wasn't attached properly and "spread out" over the whole room. Is there a fixable solution to this (short of turning off the volumetric shadowing?)
