Just wandering why Yoda and Mace Windu didnīt tell truth to Obiwan about count Dooku. Why did they lied to him about jedi (who became count dooku) was killed ten years ago.

That doesnīt look very jedi like. Why didnīt finish count Dooku ten years ago when he wasnīt that powerful. Is this because Dooku was Yodas padawan learner and he though he could save him from the dark side of the force.

Or is the corruption from the senate effected the jedi council too?

Eh? They never said he died. And they didn't know he went bad either.

If they didnīt say he died then why Obiwan said master ( canīt remember te name) died then years ago when he visited the clooners.

Sifo Dyas, who Dooku impersonated. If you want proof that the Jedi and all of the Galaxy knew that Dooku was alive, watch the first 10 minutes of AotC again, where they talk about Dooku--leader of the seperatists, and how he was a Jedi and therefore wouldn't assasinate anyone.

Dooku impersonated Sifo Dyas, presumably at the order of Lord Sidious.

--Edit--

Whoopsie...still spoiling potential, silly me :(

Actually lying is very Jedi like...they do it all the time ;)

They let him live because they don't kill people just for disagreeing with them, and they didn't think he would turn to the Dark Side--after all, he was a venerable Jedi Master.

Ooh, a Dooky thread. Has anyone else wondered if he'd have been a Count if he hadn't played Dracula so many times?

Actually, my only pet peeve is...er...what he's carrying. Once he says he will deliver it to his master, you know the outcome of the dueling extravaganza before it even begins. Shame, that.
