ok.. we have selected our planet of operation.

it is Corellia.

now. the next question is i think... will we make a city? or just a building in another town or city or something else?
a camp? a nomadic base? tell me your insights.

i personally like the idea of an associat city... it would be very cool to have that.

We could start out as a lil' village, than keep building and building until we got ourselves a city.
And what about letting people who are not TA into our city to live? First make sure we all are settled or let them in right away?

I think we should set up shop in an existing city, or maybe group with other similar PAs in our building. I don't know if we will have enough people or sufficient resources to create an entire city on our own. Of course as we get closer to release this may change.

If we want to create a city from scratch, I think the best way to go may be teaming with other PAs we get along well with to build a city.

I'm going with Mike. It'll be hard to make a strictly our own city. Mike, why don't we make a city combining the Massassi and the Associates? That should be plenty for a start and we would both be more powerful.

Gaalgoth - I was thinking about proposing the exact same thing. We might want to keep an eye out for other groups to ally with as well. You can never have too many friends.

I still like my 'shop-front' meeting places idea. We have a shop in each major city where Associate members can meet. It's not an announced meeting place and you'll need to do a series of gestures to let people inside know you're a member. That way imperial members won't get in trouble for helping rebel members.

Of course we need to have sattelites on other planets so we can export our goods, rather than relying on people coming to our HQ. Also, that's another use I see for me and the other security guy, transporting goods from hangers to our shopfronts so they don't get stolen, or escorting our trader/smugglers.

I'm in favor of our own city. Ofcourse this doesnt mean that it cant be done with other PA's. I just want to have alot to say about the place that I 'live' in.

We should have multiple shops in other city's to sell our goods ofcourse.

I heard u could build in/around other existing cities.

Why dont we build in a city itselve?

A huge 3 storie building or something?

Well, I think building inside an existing city would be easier , but building a city of our own would be more interesting. Hey, if I wanted the easy choise, I would play EQ. And yes, limiting the town to our PA only would be dull. Letting other people stay at the town would both be good for our tradesmen (preferrably establishing the place as a good market for other players), and would give the mayor more headaches! What's the point of playing a mayor or peacekeeper in a town where everything runs smoothly?

I like the idea of having some PAs going together and form a town. And well, more citizens = more money and power for the city = a city which can build more of the things we want in it.

Hello again ppl, I think that in principal, building your own city is an excellent goal and something that all PAs should aspire to. I would exercise caution though as cities without allies are open to attack and a criminal element would find such a place an easy target.
To start a clan, (which is basically what ur talking about) is a great idea but you need to learn to walk first. I know that you all have bags of enthusiasm about this because it shines through when reading the posts, as do I ('cause I'm a big fan too) but you need to really think this through first. (I know that this forum is serving this purpose well).
Setting up an underground network in an existing city is the way to go, until you have built strong enough relationships and allies to go it alone.
I for one would like to be a part of it, I can see myself in a peace keeping role if you have need of such ? :jawa

I'm the "owner" of The Massassi. I've known most of our memebers for a long time. I don't forsee it being a problem.

I ment like just a building with all our shops in it. And I can allready imagine a dark backroom that ends into a big garage with all the smugglers sitting there playing poker waiting until they get a cargo to smuggle. Aaah, imagination.

just because we have our own city doesnt mean we cant have meeting places in other cities as well. in fact, itll more than likely actually be necessary. maybe not as a meeting place, but if you needed to contact someone i suppose youd have a general idea where they were.

so i think we should have our own city, but also have some tavern like meeting places like gavor over there suggested.

I think that we should survey the land first before we decide on a place to start our territory. I would like to build a mine somewhere where the pickings are plentiful but i dont want to rush in and invest a lot of time and effort (and money) into a mediocre haul. Its gotta be rich in resources and far enough away to go relatively unnoticed. We can build a great place with defences and keep it a closely gaurded secret.
