:atat: There has been talk around my town that episode III will be the final installment. I am beginning to believe them. Will somebody please help to show me the light that Star Wars will not die?

Nope, Episode III is almost definitely the final Star Wars movie. The Flanneled One has said it himself on several occasions. The only way I could see it coming out again in any way, shape, or form is in a very long time from now, when some idiot buys the license or some such. But still, I really, really doubt it.

It should have ended with the very first one.

It's gotten worse and worse with each movie.

I can't tell whether I hope they'll make more or not cuz I'm not to sure myself but if they do stop it at 3 I'll be happy. Not because 'the other ones sucked', I liked them they built a nice basis for the storyline. Also not because I'm some Starwars freak that views everything like it was handed down from god. Basically the 6 movies will portray an amazing story line which each movie can build upon.

as I see it, Lucas should stop making movies after Ep III, but I don't think the star wars saga ends there. The EU will live on as long as people continue to enjoy StarWars. After all, the OT lasted 3 decades, and it is often classified as timeless, so I figure that while the movies may stop, the saga never will.
