we'll i think 'ye ol' tnt2 pro card has served its time on my pc..
now i have narrowed it's follower down to these 3:
Geforce4 Ti4400
Geforce4 TI4600 (ouch.. expensive)
ATI Radeon 8500
i know that the radeon is way cheaper than any of the above cards, but from what i've heard the GF4 card's do indeed kick arse..
right now i'm 70% certan i will by the TI4400 as the TI4600 is about 470$ where i live
the TI4400 is (only) 300$
the R8500 is 200$
what do you think?
thx.

Well my choice would be the Radeon because I hate GeForces I think they suck, but so do Radeon's, I still prefer VooDoo cards over anything, Thats Why I stick with my VooDoo 3 in my 300 MHz 126 MBs ram machine, and my TnT 2 Ultra in my 333 MHz and my 256 MBs of ram.

If you can afford it and are willing to pay for it get the ti 4400.

why not a 4200 ti card? from what i know, it will kick ass also for only 169USD... when i replace my mx400 it will be with one of these critters(or a GF5 if it takes very long to save the money:D )

On a review on PC Gamer the cards got the following ratings, I think they were speaking on a cost/performance scale.
Radeon 8500: 77%
GeForce4 Ti 4400: 92%
GeForce4 Ti 4600: 91%
I say if you have the money, definitely go for the GeForce4 Ti 4600.

Go for the GeForce 4 Ti4200. It's by FAR the best in terms of price/performance on the market. It'll cost you about $250 less than the Ti4600 and then you can save that money and buy a GeForce 6 or whatever when they come out. ;)
