I have had a idea for a mod just now, but I have a question.

ok first off, I dont code.

I am not asking for anything to be done for me, but I am just wondering if my idea is workable at all...

its a weapon mod, for the e-11 ST rifle.

its very cool as it is right now with its fire modes(in SP btw, this is what i am talking about) but it seems to me that the main fire on the E-11 is mirrored by the 1st fire on the brior(sp?) rifle.

therefore I am wondering if the 1st fire on the e-11 can be changed to a stun bolt I.E. "theres one, set for stun!" the big blue ring type shot. this could make a good stelth weapon, if it was quiet/silent. the other half of this mod would be when you shoot someone, it would do the stun batton/force lightning arcing/sizure(sp?) effect.

what do you all think?

I'm just a designer, not a programmer yet I do like the idea for a stun 'ray' so to speak replacing the primary shot from the STrifle.

yess it could be donw i think, i really dont know much about C++ but it could be done with notepad i think, i ahve changed the rat of fire on the blaster...

you wouldent think this would be very hard to do... all of the of the EFX are in the game... cept the blue rings.... dem might be hard... cant replace the reg bolt, it woult change the 2nd fire mode too...

it would have to be changed to call a new gfx file for the bolt... (hope that things like that are not hard coded.... GAH!)

will pop open weapons.dat later and have a looksee... .dat files and cfg's and the like, i can do... its just c++ wich I have no experence with.
