View Full Version : SP player surfaces... removal and adding

Basically I'm trying to use the JediF skin for Kyle.

Editing the npcs.cfg file seems to change Kyle to the JediF in the cutscences, but has no effect on SP. So I make myself a new .pk3 file from Jan, and can now use Jan to replace Kyle in SP. My problem is that my .surf files don't seem to work in SP--and others seem to be having the same problems. I've tried removing the vest, spurs... etc. in SP by editing the model_default.skin and replacing the directory of the unwanted surfaces with 'nodraw', but I don't know how to add the things I need like 'torso_augment'.

Torso_augment, hips_augment, and that other thing in the JediF's surfon are needed to keep the skin from displaying a blank texture, but I can't seem to activate them for the player character.
