what are the best sites for addons or whatever you people reckon i should get?
im new to xwing alliance sites and don't know what to look for
i heard something about the atmospherec thingo and that sounds interesting

Well, for the Atmospheric Project, you should head for http://www.A-Prj.com , and for the rest, http://www.xwingalliance.net is a nice place to look.

XWA.net is dead (except for the forums), you'd be better off going to X-Wing Legacy ( http://xwlegacy.outpostd34.com/ ).

The only things you can get from XWA.net are the 2.02 update and a few older patches.
