Is it possible to make a wall or glass where I can see through one side of it and not the other? Like the police use

Texture one side with common/glass and texture the other side with whatever you want.

Will that work?
I was gonna say to make it a simple patch mesh textured with whatever you want. As long as it's not thickened you can always see through from the other side.

Every face of a brush is only textured on its front, so there's no reason it shouldn't. Try putting a caulk brush in the middle a room and texture one face of it. You can see it for yourself.
