hello ppl. i jsut created a basic map and i am now standing on a ramp. the ramp i created is sold but once i get down to the floor, i fall straight thru. why isnt my floor solid so that i can walk on it?

I am not going to believe that there is a bug that bad in Radiant (what I am assuming your using) so I am going to suggest this: Make a floor.
Sounds obvious? lol, ok, I’ll try to be somewhat of a help. I AM assuming you have a floor, right? Ok, good. Now select the info_playerstart box and press “N.” Try selecting the “drop to floor” box. If that doesn’t work then the texture that you are using for your floor isn’t solid. And if that isn’t the case maybe you don’t HAVE a floor. And if THAT isn’t the case—maybe you have found a bug in JKRadiant which no one else has—and if THAT IS the case—get GTk—It’s much better. But seriously, if you tried these things and you still fall though the floor—send me the file and I will see what’s wrong.

Make sure that the back of your brush isn't covered in a nonsolid texture, even if the front is. For example, if the front of your floor brush is textured correctly, but if you put caulk_nonsolid on the back, you would fall through the floor.

rich, thats exactly wut i did and i did fall through. so, how do i fix this? btw, my map is getting on pretty cool except some problems to be ironed out.

actually, i made a brush out of caulk as u have said in the tut but after i applied the correct texture and do the stuff i should, i still fall through :/

Hmm, you put caulk on the back or caulk_nonsolid?

Just reload the system texture set, it should be in there...
