View Full Version : weighting tags in 3dsmax 4.2

I have weighted SOME tags in my JKII model but some of the tags just wont stick, no matter how hard I try. Is there a box I havent checked to make them work?
I have weighted them onto my bones, but when I move the skeleton about they dont move with the mesh. Some work, some dont, that makes me confused.

the best way i found weighting tags was to open up the Edit>SelectBy>Name select every single bolt_ and the stupid triangle , then deselect bolt_r_hand , with all of them selected , apply the skin modifier and add the pelvis bone, then edit the envelope so it covers a huge area larger than the model. hopefully all the little tags will have red verts.

then deselect all of them and select the bolt_r_hand , weighting that to r_hang_tag_bone

this has worked so far for me, hope it helps :)
