my slime puddles being wierd

i have a big slime river thing and it has a half submerged crashed xwing with its nose pointing down on a 45 degrees angle as well as some half submerged bits of rubble and stuff

the problem is that when you are under water they all dissapear completely and when u are above water only the tops of the rubble thats above the surface get drawn

i was using a slime shader of my own creation that unfortunately was crap

i messed around with what i didnt understand and paid the ultimate price

is that too dramatic?
