I want to make the Droid Factory on Geonosis, but an important part of the location are the treadmills...

how can i make them???

Please help if you can!

is it mp or sp?

i dunno if func_rotate is available in mp but if it is you could try making heaps of small rollers all the same dimensions and all level with the tops of each other

when the player walked on them they would roll him towards the direction they all rotate ...maybe...

or you could make heaps of thin flat func_trains that move the way the treadmill is meant to go and then loop them at the end of the treadmill underneath the visible ones to start at the beggining again

does that make sense?

that is a good idea patch, but think of the lag all those tiny, moving brushes would make. he'd need like, at least, a hundred!
what about longer pieces that loop around where they can't be seen? that would work and save some comp stress

they do that in sof2 you know. there's a part in the airport with the treadmills.

might play through that if you have sof2 and maybe see if you can get some ideas on how they did it.
