I think it's mission 4 , the one with the Republic Decimators.
Is this tough or what (playing it on moderate)? After 3 evenings of playing I still have the main base to attack yet!!!
I found it difficult because the two test sites advance to higher tech levels quicker than me and they are continuously attacking me right from the start particularly whilst I'm trying to gather those nova crystals.
I spent two evenings simply trying to get my base up and running and then defending it. Thank goodness for Tenn (?) the Sith Knight!
Anyone else find this one hard?

I didn't have too much trouble. I crushed one test site with the starting forces, and a couple of back up sith apprentices.

With 1 pummel, 2 sith knights and Tann, I defeated the major base to the north, only the last one gave me trouble.

Take all your starting units and head straight for one of the test sites - I went for the one to the west, but it's your choice. Start your economy going at home. Basically, at this point in the game, the enemy has nothing that can really touch Sev'rance, so if you march her in first the light defences will begin to attack her for little effect. You can then march in your troops to add their own weight of fire to the attack - the enemy CC will not shift fire onto your troops as long as Sev'rance remains in range. Note that you may encounter a Bounty Hunter or two - Sev'rance is capable of taking them down by herself, don't panic. Also note that:
- the test site will not have Rotation Bearings researched, so Sev'rance is capable of taking down turrets with total impunity if they are not covered by something else
- you can convert a couple of workers as you smash the base, which will help your own economy a little.

The thing to remember is that Sev'rance is resilient and strong, so you can afford to hit H frequently and attend to your own economy without worrying too much about her. Just make sure you have her hotkeyed in case anything goes down. Once the one test site is under your control, recall any remaining troopers to your main for defence, though I'd recommend leaving Sev'rance near the test site, because the Republic will occasionally attack the Devastator. Concentrate now on your own base, which should be a little easier to defend. Hopefully, the early attack hasn't knocked too many minutes off your tech times, so you can hit the second site in T3 with pummels or whatever. You might want to protect the captured test sites with a couple of turrets, AA and perhaps a shield each, because the main Republic base will continue to launch attacks on the sites.

Okay I finished it, the mission clock said 9 hours something! I always enjoy the final parts of these missions when I'm going around the enemy base with total impunity! - it's very rewarding!

Oh well, onto number 5...............:)

I actually found this one to be rather easy. I wiped out one of the test sites with Tann alone, and just had a worker build a troop center near the other site (and eventually an airbase).

It was the wookie one that irritated me the most (probably would have been easier if I had just gone straight through the mission instead of counterattacking the wookie bases.)

Just as well I'm not a General for the military or Rebel Alliance!:)
