You ROCK man thank you so much for all the help you give everybody.

Your tutorials are the best I have found, you explain everything very well and it has helped me learn so much already and I only started useing them a couple days ago.

The tutorials I had been useing were for quake3 and I was having trouble converting some things to jk2. I am a newbie mapper for any game and I had got adicted to mapping as soon as I tried but being so new at it I got frustrated and stopped working on my maps, (I had to go back to the game to remember why I wanted to make the maps) then I found a link to your tutorials and I'm back to mapping again (but still playing this time too)

I have a lot of ideas on paper but after going through you tuts I am starting my maps again to fix the problems I was having.
They will be much better thanks to you.
I'll let you know when I get them done so you can see your hard work put to use.

Once again thanks for all your hard work, knowledge, and and over all helpful friendly attitude in your tutorials and all your forum post that I have read, and thats a lot.

Keep up the good work and I look forward to the tutorials in your list that haven't been done yet.

I too agree. Even though I use GTK, I still check his tut's, they work for me.

I give him the "Being in the coolness of the thought's of the Grets mind for the goodness of the tutorial's in the great" Award.

Ok, ive seen this many times before but never asked, what the hell does "133t" mean? Only asking here because I see it in Ah Boon's sig.

angelDP

It replaces characters for symbols:

L = 1
E = 3
T = 7

Thus, 1337 is LEET, which SOUNDS like shorthand for ELITE.

The definition is: People on the internet have to much time on their hands (no offense, I ocationaly lip into l337 myself)

That's just about the dumbest thing i've ever heard, not you but the 133t thing. I personally try not to use phrases online that I would never use in real life. I would never say 133t in real life, I would say elite, it's not that hard to type.

I would also never say lol, rofl, or most other crap like that either, at the most i'll use IMO or AFAIK but i'm trying to get out of the habit of doing that as well.

well sorry to hijack the thread, ya'll can get back to worshiping Rich now.

Well, since we're on the subject,what does rofl, IMO, and AFAIK mean?

IMO - in my opinion
AFAIK - as far as I know

see, that's one reason why I don't like to use them

Ah, ok, thanks for clearing that up.

I doubt I'll use them either. LOL is as far as I go.

At least I'll know what people mean when they say that.

Anyway, you can go dump your love on Rich now...

Nice to see another CS fan here! I'm actually on the Steam beta testing team for CS, Day of defeat and the halflife mp games. Version 1.5 is pretty cool! Oops, forgot, this is a "give praise to Rich thread" :). So, I agree with all of the above, your Tut rocks bro, keep up the great work!

Btw, thanks again for all of your help with my Hoth map, but no matter what, I just can't get some of those errors resolved. I think it has to do with using the evil CSG on a few occasions. So I've moved on to a new map...Look for it in the near future. As far as I can tell, no one has made a map based on this theme. I'll post a WIP thread once I have it somewhat better established.

:)
