I'll give skinning this a shot but I would rather someone who actually skins to try after I get a working model in the game:

It looks good but you definetly need to add more detail. I feel like your not spending enough time on your models.

heh. if I put more any more detail into it, it would likely exceed the allowed vertices count, and this is using 1 stack 6 slice modeling.

Overall the model looks good, but:
1. The blade is coming out of the wrong end.
2. It should be curved a bit more, like this :

I'll fix that, and I'll curve the blade a lil more. Course I'll have to do this tomorrow because I'm uber tired. :P
