I've started mapping 2 days ago and i think i got a hang of it. But there is one part of the tutorial that doesn't cover how to add fire like the ones in jedi temple duel map. Can someone help me on that part..

also... do i need to created a light entity for the fire or will it provide a light for itself...

also...:p if it does, can i change the light to be more of an orange + red + yellow color?

In either or radiants (doesn't matter which)

right click on a 2D view and go to fx -> fx_runner

hit n to bring up the entity list with the fx_runner still selected.

add the key fxFile and make its value env/fire.efx

position it where you want it to go.

Add a light entity above it. hit k and select a light color.

then from there you can add the style key and one of the numbers (can't remember which see http://richdiesal.jedioutcastmaps.com to see) and then it will flicker.

enjoy!
